About the Creator

Mike started playing tennis at a young age.  His love of the game prompted him to play on his high school tennis team, where he was named Most Improved Player by his senior year.  His teammates voted him Most Valuable Player.

After high school, he attended college at Fresno State University, where he continued to receive accolades and recognition.  He was once again named Most Improved Player by his coach, and he was voted Most Valuable Player for three years in a row by his teammates.  

Mike knew that he wanted to make tennis a part of his life and not just a pastime after college, so he took a position as Assistant to the Head Pro at one of the oldest and most distinguished tennis clubs in Central California called Fig Garden Swim & Racquet Club.  He eventually went on to become the Head Pro and Director of Tennis for thirteen years, all while playing competitively.

After spending years working for other people's clubs, Mike took a leap and started the Mike Jizmejian Tennis Academy and Sunnyside Health & Tennis Club, where he was the owner/operator for 24 years.

Today, Mike lives in Fresno California with his wife Jodi.  They have four children who played tennis in high school, college and in multiple USTA tournaments. 

He is pursuing his desire to change the way tennis tournaments are run across the country.
